A word game with a deeper meaning.
The name Wheel of Verses might make you smile. It's a play on a well-known TV game show, and yes, you really do spin a wheel and call out letters to solve a hidden verse. But the name was chosen for a deeper reason too.
Life turns like a wheel
A wheel never stays still. It keeps turning, and what is at the top soon comes round to the bottom. Our lives are like that. We pass through seasons of joy and of sorrow, of plenty and of waiting, of strength and of weakness. Scripture is honest about this:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
A light for every season
Our seasons change, but God's Word does not. The psalmist says:
Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105
A lamp doesn't light up the whole road at once. It shows enough for the next step. Whatever season you are in today, the Bible gives light for the step in front of you, and strength to take it.
Why we made this app
Wheel of Verses is for you, disciple of Christ. It is an invitation to look into the Word of God in a fun way, on your own, with your family, or with your church group.
Every puzzle you solve is a verse you have read slowly, letter by letter and word by word. Our hope is that, little by little, those verses will stay with you, and that the game will help you memorise the Word of God.
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11
